(Los Angeles, Calif.) January 10, 2013 - The highly successful nationwide REVOLVE TOUR will begin its 2013 season in Atlanta, Ga. on February 9th unveiling its this is Love tour. The 2013 live event for girls offers a mix of entertainment and inspiration designed to build self-esteem and help them face head-on some of life's most challenging issues such as body image, bullying and depression, among others.
"We want to equip teen girls with the tools they need to face the world with self-assurance, grace, compassion, and the knowledge that they are loved just the way they are," says Barry Walsh, vice president of creative for Live Event Management, Inc.
Nearly 450,000 girls have attended The Revolve Tour® since it launched in 2005. this is Love presents an all-new program in 15 cities across the US while featuring a high-octane, multi-media, concert event that combines drama, live worship, real-life stories, and music from award-winning artists including:
* Anthem Lights (Christian pop group who has toured alongside MercyMe, Jars of Clay, and The Afters)
* Britt Nicole (No. 8 on Billboard's charts for "The Lost Get Found," 2013 Grammy nominee and no. 3 Billboard chart topper for "Gold")
* Natalie Grant (2012 Grammy nominee, and GMA's Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years)
* KJ-52 (Four time Dove Award winner, three in the "Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year" category)
* Jenna Lucado Bishop (multi-book author and daughter of NY Times best-selling author Max Lucado)
For the first time, The Revolve Tour® will feature a live DJ (DJ Morph) that will be a constant thread throughout the program who is passionate about sharing God's love via music and culture. Another new addition for 2013 includes drama videos written and produced specifically for the tour that focus on "What is real love?," letting girls know that God loves them no matter what their past might say.
Newcomers to the 2013 line-up include Andi Andrew, founder of Liberty Church, Seattle pastor Kramer Rasmussen and Christa Black, among others. Each will share stories that address real-life issues such as Rasmussen's personal struggle as a victim of bullying and Black's past battles with self-worth while providing girls with hope and inspiration to overcome obstacles.
Black, who has toured musically with The Jonas Brothers is a popular blogger, speaker, and singer-songwriter whose songs have been recorded by multiplatinum-selling artists Jordin Sparks, Passion, and Michael W. Smith. Her worship song "One Thing Remains" (sung by Kristian Stanfill of Passion) landed at no.1 on the Billboard Christian radio chart in 2012.
Sharing her painful struggle to find personal peace from the monsters of insecurity, self-hatred, sexual abuse, depression, and eating disorders, Black will take girls on a journey of self-discovery, exposing the negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions that can lead to paths of bondage.
"I want girls to know their worth and value-their true identity-and that it's their absolute right and inheritance to live full and free," says Black.
